I laughed so hard I spit on my monitor.

There are people who think the planet is hollow and filled with oil. It ain't. We peaked 3 years ago.

Hugh ..

There are huge known reserves that are too deep and/or expensive to extract right now. There may be more of this than previously expected. As the price of oil goes up this will be drilled or mined.

Absolutely correct except ..

1) It will cost much more per barrel to extract
2) The 'rate' of extraction will be less than that
of a conventional well
3) The EROEI per barrel will be less
4) 'New' production won't be able to offset
depletion rates from existing fields

The simple fact that the oil industry is willing to process
oil/tar sands to keep your/our SUVs going should tell you
something about how much 'easy' oil is left ..

You're standing in front of an apple tree and
you're hungry .. There are several apples on the
ground and many more at various locations on the
tree .. All are 'edible' .. Which ones are you
gonna eat first ??

Triff ..
