Perhaps we should discuss continuing to pawn off are debt with our Asian friends first. Check it out, U.S. treasuries have sort of lost their luster.

Why put your petrodollars into a bitter, loser country on it's way down to world equilibrium? We'll be looking backward for the next 100 years. Why not a hopeful, optimistic place like China, India or even Africa? That's what newly hatched Chinese investors are doing. Why invest in people trying to get out from under their Mcmansions when you can have happy people trying to move from mud huts to prefab housing? We're due to be a pissed off, angry country with a bad attitude for quite a while.
