Well, I fell into the scrappleface trap again.

I've seen several minstrel shows as a child because my mother sang in them. She did not wear blackface, nor did the majority of the performers. The blackfaced performers were wonderful, and sang songs like "Old Man River."

It's a sad commentary on our culture that such things are now considered racist. I don't see anyone objecting to films with obviously racist titles, like "White Men Can't Jump."
