>>> So their inferior economic and social standing in America still today is explained how?

I don't try to explain it. But I don't blindly assume it has something to with events of 100 years ago. My guess is that blacks have been held back by the social programs of the 60s that reinforced the wrong behaviors. But that is just my view.

I know too many blacks who have, after coming from the worst possible situations, made good lives for themselves just by making good decisions. I know numerous black physicians who worked hard and put themselves through school. They just made good decisions.

Why are so many blacks making wrong choices today? I don't know; but it isn't because their great-great-great-great grandparents were slaves, I can tell you that much. I know a lot of white kids who have had it handed to them, and simply turned away, choosing instead, paths that led them nowhere. Can't tell you why that happens, either.
