Running against Bush isn't enough.......the GOP needs to be brought to its knees. "

You take a great risk by doing that. We have two parties and to win, democrats need republican votes. You dont insult folks you are courting. You are way too bitter Ted. Winning is everything here and your best case for the presidency and the 60 votes needed in the senate is to play nice.

I am not bitter but rather afraid for this country. When you have only two parties, both have to be fairly functional and responsible. Unfortunately, the GOP has become corrupted. In the process of gaining control of the country, they learned to no longer play fair.....instead resorting to Machiavellian and even lesser tactics to gain and accumulate power. For the first time, the baser elements of the party were able to voice their desires and see them get satisfied. Why do you think so many of them have been found guilty of criminal behavior or forced to resign because of their questionable behavior?

The GOP has to be purged of these bad people and its bad motivations. And given the arrogance of its members, the only way I see that happening is bringing them to their knees and surgically removing the diseased portion of the party.
