I'm trying to convince Mq that this is a good idea, but he can't quite seem to grasp it despite being a libertarian. He's been stuck living in a suffocating, nanny-state kleptocracy for so long that he has no idea what true freedom really is. Sounds like he'd rather have bossy bureaucrats decide how to spend the money. Our system works so well that it's been proposed as a way of distributing Iraq's oil wealth directly to the Iraqi people. Of course they'd likely buy different goods with it such as sheep, goats, camels, machetes, burqas, suicide vests, AK-47s, RPGs, explosively-formed-penetrators, etc. Hmmm... maybe it's not such a good idea after all. Oh well.
