I watched that interview with Wright and that is why some earlier posts of mine dealt with my feelings about the man and his work.

In fact I said that I would not mind going to his church.
He shakes you up and makes you think. So many sermons are all platitudes. He said and I agree that church on Sunday for many Americans is just a reinforcement of what they want to hear rather than what they should hear to shake them up and THINK.

We rather much sit placidly and rarely challenge what a preacher says. There is not always much stimulation as
most preachers that I have experienced are just preaching the Bible failing to recognize how differently the message would be if someone really believed.. What would Jesus do ?
