Disasters are not a fabulous way to see the free market in action.

Unless you like to see people homeless and starving. If you are in to that, I guess it could be nice.

"Then and only then will some of the free market fundamentalists who believe that a free market place is the only solution to solve the problems of the world admit maybe they were wrong. "

Free markets - are not the issue here - government subsidies of using food for fuel are a better place to start. How do you guys make this a free market issue?

There is not going to be any early warning system. The first sign will be empty shelves at the super markets.

Hmmmm. If the first sign is empty shelves at the supermarkets, then all those food riots must be a figment. I'm so relieved.
