Dead oceans are alarming.

I agree with that. I'd like to fix them, too. But they are getting lost in all the doomsday sturm und drang. That word has lost its impact while achieving ubiquity.

I think we have to break things down into bitesize pieces. For many, doomsday invokes a feeling of hopelessness. Like my telling Ammo to clean his room when he was little. He couldn't handle it. I had to go up and say, ok, start with this. In fact, I have to still do that with myself on certain tasks.

So we need to focus on specific ways to begin fighting this. Of course, that would involve actually having a president and congress that could focus.
Now I am depressed.

Must go bake my chocolate bourbon pies for the Derby Party tonight. May have to sample the bourbon.

Remember that funny recipe for making fruitcake where you sample the whiskey each step of the way?
Mix on the turner. If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers pry it loose with a drewscriver. Sample the whisky to check for tonsisticity. Next, sift two cups of salt. Or something. Who cares?
