Hi Stockfarmer,

Thank you for all your analysis. It has made the collective thread think hard and dig deep. Being a very simple person, (I'm in customer service!) I have had to struggle hard to understand the concepts you all have put forth.

So far you have discussed and opined and finally said that you feel there will be a settlement before Due Process Runs it's course.

I hate to ask a simple question because you are a man of heavy analytical bent.

But I would like to know with all your experience and knowledge, what your gut says and who you feel has the stronger argument?

I really rely on the thread to keep me informed, so I want to thank you all!

What a pile of FUD !!!!

You're words just encourage me to invest even more of my hard earned dollars in Qualcomm because I know their management couldn't possibly be as stupid as you would lead us to believe. Just like the rest of us, you know very little about what Qualcomm has offered Nokia. All we really know is that Nokia has offered 20 cents on the dollar with a lot of unknown "words" attached and that Qualcomm has publicly stated that it is not enough. Beyond that, we have to account for Qualcomm management apparently believing that no real legal action can commence until the "option" expires. Isn't it possible that they agreed to Strine's offer just to speed up the coming of that reality?

Why do you always frame the "answer" as Qualcomm adapting to Nokia's whims? What prove do you have that Qualcomm hasn't already offered Nokia more than that which they are ever going to get after Dec 31st, 2008? I've seen nothing in that area but that means diddly squat.

Qualcomm offered Broadcom a $100M deal which they refused. That means more to me than any of your flimsy reasoning based upon a selective portion of the story. Your interest seems only to induce others to believe in nonexistent facts.

Time ... as time passes, your arguments and Nokia's infringement stance becomes less and less relevant.

---> some diversion from the day-in-day-out yada yada

Yeah, right <ggg>
