Wright Sides Now (A Poem)
by Deb Vaughan

05/01/2008, humanevents.com

Rows and rows of cheering fans
They had to bus them in, in vans
The signs for CHANGE were all around
The liberal's dream at last was found

But now those fans have heard from Wright
His ugly words made jaws clench tight
So many things I would have done
But Wright got in the way

Ayers and Dohrn and spinning wheels
The talk of Rezko's shady deals
Every nightmare now comes true
I have to make them think it's new

And now my fans are acting strange
They shake their heads, they say I've changed
Well something's lost that Hil has gained
While "Unc" rants every day

I've looked at Wright from both sides now
Yet my "right brain" does not know how
To understand how great the toll
Until... I read the latest poll

I've looked at Wright from both sides now,
From up and down, and still somehow
It's Wright's illusions I recall
I really don't know Wright at all
