I think that "different doesn't mean deficient" is an apt and useful slogan. The problem is the inapt corollaries. Creating bogus differences to make your difference list longer is a problem. Implying that with difference there is never deficiency is bogus. Sometimes different is just different. Sometimes there is deficiency.

After I posted that piece, I remembered something about this from back a couple of decades. I remember it was an argument for insisting on black teachers for black kids.

It confirms my belief that the Wrights & Farrakhans are not really interested in a post-racial world

It would seem so.
