<<That was 1984. Has the law changed since then?>>

All I know is they went back 24 years then and I couldn't.

Give you another one. I had a college fund when I went into the Army in '69. I combined it with some of my mother's money to buy a CD. She got the interest until I got home and I got the last payment. IRS billed me for all the payments since I got the last one. Sent them all the paper work and they said ok.

Next year I got the same notice, sent the same paper work and got an ok.

Next year, 1977 I got the same notice and sent in the same paper work. They put my house up for sale.

The IRS should be sold off to Quicken so people can understand it. Then they could offload a whole bureaucracy along with it.

A congresscritter from my state many years ago ran on a Value Added Tax concept and got unelected.

It would be more significant than the first Declaration of Independence.

Just think of the benefit in mental and physical health for the people of the good ole USA.
