We were talking about just that tonight at dinner. He said that a friend told him "We shouldn't have gone into Iraq"....So hubby asked him....Well, if you were POTUS, what would YOU have done? Ignore it again after 9-11? After we had been attacked over 20 times in the last several years? Have the so called terrorists think that we are a big, but puny country? Let Saddam sell chemicals and other bad things to every terrorist group in the world? Eventually, have the terrorists come in and take over 40% of the worlds oil supply? What would you have done?" Of course, there was no real answer...just guff....People don't seem to want to think anymore.... This isn't a few year battle. It isn't even a 10 year battle. It will go on for many years in the future....We must stay the course. Our very survival is at stake. He also said something I was surprised to hear...re Energy. I didn't know there was 127,000 BTU in every gallon of gasoline.... There is NOTHING on the market today that even comes close to that. Not solar, wind, or anything else....
