I really like Dennis Haysbert. He's never been president but he's played one on TV much better than Martin Sheen did.

I wonder if he'll ever get interested in politics. Actually, I sort of hope so in the Ronald Reagan sense. First, establish real credentials outside of acting, then go for it.

Poitier was on Larry King last night. Quite a MAN! (Believe it or not, he's 81. Looks 15-20 years younger.) Very impressive.

Obama should understudied with him. Maybe he'd learn the meaning of the words "character" and "man".

It's unfortunate Poitier never ran for office (being foreign born (Jamaican) he couldn't be President). He'd make an impressive governor or senator. But I think he was too smart to get involved in that game.

I like "The Unit" in which Haysbert plays a guy I could vote for President, but the character is a soldier. The character doesn't listen to whining. He says "Things are tough all over." He's also decisive and creative in solutions, and a true leader. We could use somebody like that as President.
