I don't get it.

By the time Oprah approached the church she was already a wealthy, successful, person. She had grown up in the Southern Black Church and could easily spot where Wright was coming from and realize that he was bad news for her.

Obama? Private School, non-black Hawaii, then Ivy League. He had no "American black Negro" experience.

To use the old joke, Obama grew up so "white" that if somebody said, "there's a N**ger!" he might have responded "where?"

So when he wanted to make it politically on Chicagos South Side, Wright seemed perfect to him. He had no other "black" standard to judge him by.
