It's his political strategy. Secure the Democrat nomination with the black voters by identifying with the black part of himself and working to convince the black people of the mainland of America that he is one of them.

While Hawaii is part of the United States, Hawaii is extremely different from the other states. Hawaii is multi-cultural and black Americans are few. There are communities that are Japanese, Chinese, Military, Samoan, Native Hawaiian and Whites referred to as Haoles.

Obama's Hawaii is not the same culture as that of mainland black Americans. Obama did get that silver spoon inserted in his mouth as a result of both parents being educated at the University of Hawaii and his being educated at elite schools beginning with Punahou and culminating with Harvard----despite his current denials on having not been born with a silver spoon--------two university educated parents and all of the elite schools.

So task no. 1 is to solve his personal identity crisis and become acceptable to a culture of black Americans on the mainland that he was not a part of in his formative young years in Hawaii.

So, he says figuratively---- 'Hey look at me I am the black Obama'.

Assuming he gets the nomination-----he then does the light fantastic and dances over to the white side of his identity.
Ah, now that elite, silver spoon education comes into play.

But ah, now he has problems-----he doesn't fit in with the mainstream American whites who did not go to Ivy League Universities such as Harvard -----so how is he going to prove himself to these folks or can he.

I'll stop there for now.
