Are you from the West? I am basically a Western gal (who didn't know it until I moved back to the East).....we out here called it the movies, but went to the show...

We also drank cokes, where I understand in Boston, it's called tonic...We think tonic goes with gin...

As young girls, we rolled up our hair on curlers or rags....The gals here in Seattle when I moved here, said they "pinned" up their hair....we all laughed because the sayings were so different!

But then again, we in the SW wore loafers with white bobby sox rolled down about 6 times (very neatly of course)....and the gals here wore..(dreadful looking things called) white bucks with fuzzy colored sox....We both rolled our eyes....

But within a year, I finally got used to the white bucks and colored fuzzy socks....<gggg>

LOL!
