My answer to that has always been yes. Doesnt mean i am for torture but in those special cases i would bend/suspend/upend the rules.

Exactly. This is my view precisely.

I said i wouldnt vote for a president who i didnt think would do what was required out of some sense of morality.

But if you vote this year you will do exactly that.

Out of the three who are running, Obama is the LEAST likely to do what is necessary. McCain and Hillary, while both adamantly opposed to torture, can be counted on to be pragmatic.
