Of course, the real reason you can't build new nuclear plants today is that the government regulation has brought it to its knees.


That's not true.

The real reason you can't build a nuclear plant is that the private sector insurance companies won't insure them, and the government is no longer providing indemnity.

Nuclear accidents may be infrequent, but the cost of even one Chernobyl would break the entire insurance industry.
