Mental pain.....what does that mean to you?

We were talking about waterboarding.

And where did you hear that waterboarding only lasts a few seconds????

According to the CIA reports, of the three waterboarding incidents, only one required more than a few seconds, and that was about 180 seconds. If you're talking about something longer term, my view might be different. I'm not aware of any kind of waterboarding or similar treatment by the United States taking longer.

Is hypothermia

Keeping a detainee uncomfortably cold, not torture. Hypothermia, torture.

heat

As long as it isn't cooking. They're not entitled to air conditioning.

sleep deprivation

Not torture.

near starvation

Torture.

hanging from the feet or arms

Torture.

Have you ever heard of Chinese Water Torture?

Yes; no evidence of its use by the United States.

All of these methods were used by the Nazi's

The Nazis did lots of bad stuff.

There is also testimony from a former Gitmo prisoner who details being hung by his arms for 6 days

There is no credible evidence of such torture. GTMO prisoners can say anything and we know they will. I don't believe this kind of treatment of a detainee has been done at GTMO, and I find it highly unlikely it could happen without evidence of it having been uncovered.

Your [sort of] allegation is just not supported by the facts.
