By your own account the missiles were laser guided at strategic targets.

Not all of them.
Tons of explosives were just dropped on the city without so much as a "lookout below".

The laser guided ones were another story. I recall the movies of the laser guided bomb dropping throught he minister of agriculture building taking out not only the elevators, water, and electrical parts of the building, but also the night cleaning crew. I suppose Cheney declared cleaning buildings to be an enemy activity.

It was advertised well enough that 'innocents' had time to stand clear if they wanted to.

Is that your stupidity or your arrogance? Or both? If a powerful enemy had "advertised" that your city would be bombed and you had no way to retaliate, what would you do to "stand clear"?
