"I am pleased to introduce a bill that would tax oil and gas companies' for their excessive profits while encouraging them to decrease the prices for their products," said Congressman Kanjorski. "Like my constituents in Northeastern Pennsylvania, I am appalled by the spiraling prices at the gas pump and in home heating fuel. I am working to change the sharp contrast between the industries' growing profits and Americans' increasing inability to pay for oil and gas."

Yep. Just like Hillary. Increasing taxes on the industry will encourage them to make the investments necessary to explore for, find, and produce more oil and gas to help meet the growing world-wide demand. It is a parody all right, it's just that Kanjorski doesn't realize it.

And the worst thing is, many of his constituents will nod knowingly, and applaud.

Did any of these people ever hear the old saying that if you want less of something you raise taxes on it?
