It's sad. Your choice is either the Republicans that will allow the oil companies to gouge us, or the Democrats that will add taxes to "show" those oil companies (and traders), but the end result is the same....higher prices for all of us. My solution: Put a 50% tax on speaking fees/book deals of former politicians and an 80% tax on any consulting/lobbying fees they collect for 10 years after leaving office. And while I'm doing a grumpy rant, try them for treason if they lobby on behalf of a foreign company/government. There...I feel better. :O)
