Really very relevant to a discussion of climate change and emission reduction. Not.

It is as relevant as suggesting that reduction of energy intensity without addressing total emissions is. It is reduction of total emissions that matters, not energy intensity reduction. But Bush and friends keep talking about energy intensity like it is relevant. It isn't, except in a peripheral way. And to talk about without talking about total emissions is, at best, highly misleading.
