I have always been in favor or drilling in ANWR, but one argument that has some resonance with me is that of waiting and saving our resources til after the others are exhausted, and we really do have a crisis.
In other words, I'm not opposed to drilling but making sure we time it well. The whole protect that remote wilderness from any use at all just doesn't hunt for me.

Global warming is so complex, I don't even try to have an opinion. It makes sense to me that we do what we can to protect the environment and the air regardless, just as good stewards ought to- regardless of the trends.

If we don't get a grip soon, unemployment will be the norm, not the exception. Our entire country runs on energy, and at the same time, supports much of the rest of the world.

Too bad our politicians aren't honest with the citizens....we need Statesmen, not gophers.

Either we're going to accept the notion that oil, coal and nuclear plants need to be supported, or we are going to descend as the most prosperous nation.
