Ask anyone who is 80 about the rationing of meat, butter, sugar, gasoline etc during WWII. Heck we had odd and even fill up days for Gas in the 1970's. And remember that if we have these bigger increases coming in commodity prices it will drag up wages, the prices of many real assets etc. We had inflation like this in the 1970's and there were no food riots. And also there are many great products around like these days such as the powdered protein shakes that you mix with water, they actually taste really good, so it's not the end of the world. John
