I was listening to "Homeland Security: Inside and Out", which is produced by a couple of guys who are in the TAMU Department of Homeland Security. Anyway, one of the segments was about DHS plans to use the spy satellite network for domestic espionage. They also want to let local law enforcement tap into the network, but aren't sure about the legal details. So that has been shelved for the time being. Interesting stuff. I never knew that was even in the cards.
