How many insulting adjectives can a wing nut fit in an 11 word sentence? As many as it takes to avoid the issue.

We can have differences of opinion about the war. But the remark was, "Meanwhile, SS actually helps people while Iraq is killing people." This statement is all of the things I said it is.

It isn't avoiding the issue. Suggesting that the Iraq War is nothing more than a means for "killing people" is over the top. The inference is that Bush is pursuing this war because he wants more dead Iraqis, more dead Americans, wants to spend more money, all is a crock of shit -- And anyone who makes such a posts knows it, regardless of how young and naive he may be.

As of March, 49% of Iraqis say it was right for the US to have invaded, up from 37% six months before. Like all polls, these polls are fickle and fluctuate with conditions. That in the midst of the violence, the US occupation, and all that is going on, half of Iraqis support what the US is doing, is a big deal. As US forces are able to draw down, violence subsides, and life becomes "normal" for these people, it is likely we'll see the kind of support from them that even Rumsfeld anticipated (although, way belatedly).

It is fragile, and an Obama could destroy it overnight. But with competent leadership, this war could end with the Iraqi people far better off, the United States far better off, and AQ significantly impaired as a result of it. To flippantly call it "killing people" is exactly as I described it.
