"There are MILLIONS of people in Baghdad. How can all of them go anywhere in a hurry"

who said all of them needed to go anywhere in a hurry?

There are millions of people living in the city where I am. I have no trouble getting out of town or moving from one metropolitin area to another, and there are evacuation plans in the event large masses of people need to leave. There was no need to get in a hurry. Are you a space alien? Is that why you have no common knowledge of these things?

Not everyone wanted to leave Bagdad or needed to leave in a hurry. There was months of preparation before the invasion and then military movements inside Iraq that were cumbersome and time oriented. Some were staying there to engage in battle with us either directly or in support of those directly engaging us. It became a battle field and not one that should have been a surprise to anyone.
