I have no practical idea nor was I intending to suggest one. We declared war on the regime of Saddam who made Bagdad the battle ground of determination. It was no secret, and certainly not a sudden or unpredicted event.

I did not and still do not consider getting the innocents of Bagdad out of the line of fire to be a responsibility of the USA. Suggesting such a thing is ridiculous. There is no limit to the options available to the residents of Bagdad from the individual choice to leave the city prior to the battle, to an organized evacuation. I merely point out that they could choose for themselves whether or not to come or go and they had ample time to do so. I also recognize the unfortunate and regrettable occurrence of collateral damage. It was a full scale war, and back to the original point being forwarded by TP, not one in which innocent civilians were being targeted by the USA for terroristic purposes.

None of which has anything to do with whether one wishes to 'support' Bush or not.
