I am not qualified or confident in discussing national or global economic futures but some basic trends seem to glare at me.

Our economy is crashing. I expect to see inflation in the double digits this year and if not for our ability to just print money we would already be declaring this time to be the worst economic crash ever.

We have had recession in the past but the conditions were different. In the past we were able to convince first world nations to establish federal banking which was modeled after our own and which honored the American dollar. We also had a manufacturing base which could fuel recovery from recessions. Personally I think these trends began with LBJ.
