The books I read said exactly the opposite, Nadine. It wasn't only the actual predictions- like those in Sandra Mackey's book, The Reckoning- but that any intensive reading of the history led one to that very strong possibility. But I really really don't want to revisit this. It's senseless because we are stuck now, and because the debate has been done and done and done, by far more learned than I. I am not an expert as you are, but I became convinced well before we actually engaged that it was an ill-conceived plan, based on guesswork and hope. And I believe I was right. ANd frankly, I hate confrontational type posts like OH YEAH! I DARE YOU! Not my style, not my idea of good communication.
