I agree with Bush on basically nothing, but he's making the right move on this. The SPR should be saved for if the supply of oil to the U.S. is actually cut off.

The purpose of the SPR is not to turn a profit. It is to insure that in the event of a disruption of supply the US can weather the problem. It is about national security and insuring that we aren't crippled by a disruption in oil.

He's doing exactly what he should be. And it just amplifies how inappropriate the former president was when he opened the SPR for political puproses.
