After Hurricane Katrina, every hurricane season which followed was supposed to be worse due to global warming.

Said...? Or are you arguing against a straw man again?

>>> After Hurricane Katrina, every hurricane season which followed was supposed to be worse due to global warming. That hasn't happened yet, but lo and behold, a natural disaster comes rolling into dirt-poor Myanmar, and the first thing that comes out of Gore's mouth is "See, I told you so! Global warming!"

Yeah, this is right -- from now on, every disaster is a result of global warming. That is, until they come up with something else.

They have been doing this for years.

I remember during the Gulf War, before the oil wells were set on file, there were predictions that it would cause a kind of "nuclear winter" were that to happen. It was all over Nightline and CNN. In fact, I've often wondered whether that's where Saddam got the idea to do it; there was never any indication he might do that until the media started fretting over it.

Then, after it happened, they talked about five to seven years to put out the fires. Of course, they didn't consider the learning curve or American ingenuity, and the overstatement turned out to be absurd.

They always try to make bogus threats worse than they are while discounting the real threats. I don't get it.
