What gets me is McCain saying now that he expects a Senate firmly controlled by the other party to do his bidding on demand. That's what I thought. You were more bothered by his 'tude than by his opinion. the other would be if a majority of the Senate thinks the nominee has a sound judicial philosophy If "judicial philosophy" were really that, I might agree with you. But we all know that "judicial philosophy" means "political philosophy." Whether I agree with a nominee's politics or not, I don't think that speaks to qualifications.
