Thank you for the invitation and sentiment. My main objective for participating on this board was to see if civil input would be met with civil responses, and I was pleased to say that it was. I haven't received the same response in other SI venues where my view is in the minority. My view of American culture does not require that it be static, but that it incorporate the best of other cultures while rejecting those that are abhorrent. No other culture does that. Another requirement for me is that it be voluntary and natural, not legislated or forced in any way by the government. I experienced that under Clinton, warned against it in my work place, and we are all now suffering the effects of it. I do think America has sovereign rights that are being abrogated.
