'will Gold and Oil continue the decouple?'

I think they clearly decoupled and the reason gold never closed the gap to oil- is because oil is filled with $30 bucks plus of speculation. It seems almost everything decoupled from oil except natural gas.

I think what Slider is saying- is that Goldman's spike call is going to lead to a final speculative run up- and then THEY (GOLDMAN) will pull the plug and go massively short (probably at the same time Bush dumps part of the SPR onto the market- and the Saudi's announce the addition of another million barrels).

Thats they way Goldman works.

Like he said-

Bend me over once- shame on you.
Bend me over twice- shame on me.

I'm fighting the tape- most likely too early on shorting USO, but sooner, or later- oil collapses $30-$40.

Ron

Oil is holding firm so far despite Dollar strength and rising inventories; Gold is weak so they are decoupling. As for DUG, it's a big gamble trying to pick a top in a powerful bull market.
