You mean, I suppose, schmuck. Yiddish is Germanic.

In Yiddish, they are essentially the same word, both can be translated to "penis". And they aren't unique, many of the Yiddish words for a moron directly translate to "penis".

No doubt, there is some nuanced differences. Where the Francophiles swear by the church, and Anglophiles swear by bodily functions, the Yiddish swear by the penis.

Dunno why.
