That is CORRECT.

That is the fact of law that I pointed out. (Several times now....)

Never said that the regulations made these ongoing expenses 'important' or 'not important'.

No, the expenses are IMPORTANT in and off themselves for one simple reason: because they are large enough to be economically quite significant.

This years current expense run-rate: in excess of $200 Billion.

(Each year has cost more then the previous... since the war's inception.)

Total outlays (this still disregards significant major expenses that are 'locked in' for the future, yet haven't been realized yet such as decades of medical expenses for vets, costs to restock and rebuild military, etc., etc.): in excess of $550 Billion thus far.
