Sorry for buttin in but.No Elroy that is not what he said.Surely you know that.Or need to reread his post.Let me tell you again what he said.You can only sell your house once at 100% unlike the contents of an oil well which you can sell at less than 100% over a period years.Seems like you have a perceptual problem.

You said it, I didn't. "Your home" refers to a single house (Koan's).

My hypothetical oil field in my comparison is not my house. I didn't say anything about selling my house off 4% per year.

I said, "If it was my oil field, for argument's sake, I could sell it 4% a year for 25 years and then never need another one."

I don't know what was going on today but I'll just drop my end and chalk it up to the weather.
