Rendell has some valuable qualities but he does not have foreign policy experience and when you're running against McCain ya gotta have that in your running mate. Obama is only in his mid 40s and he will choose a running mate with great credibility and extensive foreign policy experience. Sam Nunn knows Washington and was one of the most admired southern Senators....Sam Nunn is one of the leading experts on foreign policy and Nuclear Arms Control...and Sam Nunn is from Georgia and could help Obama be very competitive in the South...

Rendell's an ass. He's about as perfect as Hillary, which isn't saying much. This party and country need new blood, not the tainted old blood.

OMG, we agree. Rendell would be perfect. Combative with ties into the working class reagan democrats, not to mention he is jewish and jews have been a bit unnerved a bit by the propaganda about obama. He would guarantee obama PA and help big time in Ohio and Michigan. A michigan delegate was on Hardball last night and suggested that McCAin had a good chance to win there. The purists wont like Rendell because he backed clinton to the hilt. To win the general election, Obama will have to attract crossover votes from both hillary and mccain. Ed Rendell does this and if need be, he can be called upon to play hardball if and when republicans go swiftboating.
