Dan - I guess you've never heard of Swedish high jumper Patrick Sjöberg. His best effort, in 1987 at an event in Stockholm, was 2.42 meters, which makes him the second best high jumper of all time, and the reigning European men's champion. Cuban Javier Sotomayor holds the world record, having jumped 2.45 meters in 1993. He touched the bar on that jump, but it didn't fall, so the record is his. As far as white men who can jump go, Sjöberg is not that unusual. You can see from this Wikipedia page that most of the best high jumpers in the world are white. en.wikipedia.org ;-) - Allen
