All for a nominal water savings, when there was no shortage to begin with.

Ever been to Florida? Too much growth for the water supply. So what do you do, pay huge sums for water to support desalination plants or invest in various types of conservation, or a little of both?

Your simplistic statements don't reflect a complex, and real, problem. Same shit, if it ain't happening in Arkansas it ain't happening anywhere. Provincial head in the sand groupthink.

You cannot buy traditional toilets (the ones that worked) anymore.

Mine flush at .8gpf and 1.6gpf...work great in both modes. Paid under $200...your government at work promoting innovation.

WRONG again it seems
