The fed stopped the 1987 massacre right in its tracks by providing massive liquidity the next day. 1987 was a tour de force like Bear Stearns.

Waves and waves of very very heavy worldwide selling. I watched the whole thing with total amazement.

To this day, I have never seen anyting like it.
