If I select people randomly from one group where 66% of them are white europeans, I'm going to end up giving less money to minorities than I would among a group where non-whites constitute nearly half the population. Simple probability.

In Canada, I am also less likely to run into any representatives at all of the various ethnic groups that are only present in small numbers relative to the US.

Remember, I'm not carrying on this experiment until every person in Canada has an extra dollar. ;-)
