Ed,

I don't dispute your data. I am merely observing that stock price appreciation of these types of stocks is, at best, slow.

They remind me of Connacher. Lots of talk, hype, hope, etc. The price trades in a narrow band for a long time.

In the meantime, other positions rocket ahead. CLR is among the best.

To me, the question is why one should own dogs when better opportunities exist. I certainly wish I had owned CRZO, by comparison, for just one week. Or, NOG for just a few weeks.
My error. Nevertheless, PRC and RAME just look like dead money for a long time. RTK has been in a holding pattern for years. Others include....MLP's like LINE and CEP, both of which I thought had much greater potential. Or, MVO.......another case.

I'll also observe that bad hedging can simply negate any profit potential. CPG's sad hedges have a greater impact that all discussions about potential, drilling success, and production profiles. ... these guys would have been better advised to just have put their $ in RIMM years ago instead of fooling around with oil and gas.
