Supply and demand has caused only a fraction of the price rise. Much of the rise is caused by the declining US dollar (thanks to your Dumbyasshole's "strong dollar" policy).

In the last 2 years, oil is up 319% in dollar terms but 92% in Euro terms. And in terms of real money (i.e. gold and silver) there has been very little change. So there, moron!
