To be honest Steve, I think I could have chosen my words better, or at least added a few to them. The phrase left out was "if I had a choice". Of course, many people don't, and that is really sad.

I would not live under a system where one could lose everything they had worked their life for, due to an unfortunate and unexpected illness.

What about due to a crime, say an arson or a murder?
What about due to a tornado or a flood or a lightning strike?
What about due to a law suit?
What about due to an accident?
What about due to a rumor?
What about due to bigotry?
What about due to politics?

Would you live under such a system?
