"If you would please keep your thoughts to yourself for the time being."

mamenikr, please explain your comments. You do know that the Chapter 11 hearing is next week Wednesday, May 14, 2009, don't you? If you will send me your email address, I will be more than happy to write you directly. If I know that it will help the shareholders, you will have my full cooperation.

In answer to your Message #5488, yes, I have been a long term investor of Ampex and own a chunk of Ampex shares, more than I care to say. I hope you understand that the way this Chapter 11 is structured (and assuming that Ampex and Hillside can get away with it), the shareholders will have no equity interest in Ampex and the company goes private. If the judge approves management's recommendations, control and ownership of Ampex will transfer to Hillside and present management.

You see, the way that management and Hillside engineered (railroaded?)this Chapter 11 leaves so much questions that need to be answered. Even the offer that ValueVest made to Ampex looks better than this Chapter 11 proceedings by Ampex, don't you agree? Did management even try to negotiate and explore that offer from ValueVest? No they didn't, based on what information that was given to the shareholders. As I recall, Bramson and Ampex tried everything possible to avoid meeting with ValueVest. Please keep in mind that I am in no way condoning or supporting the ValueVest offer because it needed to be improved upon in so many ways. If management had disclosed to the shareholders what kind of counter offer Ampex made to ValueVest, then I would at least know that they were working and representing the interest of the shareholders and not themselves and Hillside. I believe this silence business with the shareholders will come back to bite them in the rear.

Also, if I believed that Ampex management was looking out for the best interest of the shareholders, I would not be here sharing my thoughts on this message board as a shareholder. I hope all the major shareholders and attorney who will appear at the May 14, 2008 Chapter 11 Hearing are reading this message board and understand how the rest of the shareholders feel about the present Ampex management group. If you need our support, just please let us all know.

P.S. mamenikr, are you also a long term shareholder of Ampex?
